Obedience

What is obedience? What does it mean to be obedient to obey?

Obedience is the act or form of a person behavior that shows respect to their authority. To be a obedient person would mean to comply with orders or requests.

Words that mean the same as Obedient:

  • compliant
  • acquiescent
  • tractable
  • amenable
Ex: Doing what you are told by a teacher, elder, parents.
Doing what you are told to do by someone you respect.

911 Memorial

911 is a day that no one can forget, the day many lives were lost, and the day people themselves lost family, loved ones, and trust on the countries safety.  September 11 was a normal ordinary day at least that how it seems until the Twin Towers were attack. 19 men hijack four fuel commercial planes and flue them into different directions two of them were sent to the Twin Towers, one to the Pentagon (military base), one to Washington D.C the White House.  The attack on the Twin Towers went according to plan. The amount of people killed still amazes me to this day 2,977 people where kill, in the Pentagon 184 people were kill this was only because the passengers in the plan manage to hijack the plain from the terrorist. The plain that was on its way to the White House only 40 passengers died same reasons that occur with the plain that was going to the Pentagon. When I first herd of 911 I was shock, I remember I was in Memphis, Tennessee and everyone went quiet no one move. It was a huge impact on me and up to today I don’t forget it.

"The key to freedom is obedience"

Boyd K. Packer

When i read his quote i think of behavior. Obedience can be trace back to a person behavior, if you are good then you will get freedom but if you are bad then you will be punish. Its like when your teaching a little puppy obedience if it follows orders he gets a treat if he is bad then he is usually punish. This is the way a person shows obedience but with respect and the way you behave towards your parents, teachers, and elders. If you are good then you are free to do as you wish in other words freedom if you are bad then you get nothing.

"Relentless, Repetitive Self-talk is what changes our self-image"

Denise Waitley

Reflection: When i read Denise Waitley i think of the way a person talks to themselves. For example if i keep telling myself "Your not good enough." At some point you are bound to believe that because you keep telling yourselves that, and the more you do it the more you will believe that. But if you tell yourself "You are more than good enough," you will believe in yourself, you will pay attention to yourself more and probably do better than you would normally.
Ambulance Dispatcher

Duties and Responsibility:  Ambulance dispatchers operate emergency calls, radio emergencies, and computer equipment’s.  They also receive disturbances, fire emergencies, and they help the police with emergencies and help when there are public crimes. They also provide medical emergency if it is needed.
Salary: 37,460-55,070

Reflection: I would not like to be an ambulance dispatcher because it a sitting job. By this I mean that you have to sit all day. I cannot sit all day I need to be moving. That and you have you drive really fast and what if I don’t get there on time then the person would be in more danger or would had died because of me.  The same could happen if I don’t get to the hospital in time. I am just worry that I won’t make it on time.
