When i read this quote by Abraham Lincoln i think he meant it from his own perspective. Taking into account at this time he was also running for president and must have had doubts of his win. But he was trying to assure the people that even if he doesn't win he will stand for the country but only with the one who does the right. In reality no ones wants to stand for a man that always ruins or damages a person reputation but with a man who knows what he is doing. When a person fallows and knows between right and wrong other people tend to fallow and trust that person because they know what they are doing. But the way always part from the ones who do the wrong.

A person would feel good when he does something honest like giving without anything in return. I do not know how to explain it but it's like a feeling of relieve. You just know that you did something good. But i think a person feels good when they do a random act of kindness. Because it is the smallest things that a person does and knows that is good that makes a person feel good for doing something good themselves. I believe a person feel bad when they lie, break someone trust, know they are guilty, and ignore the things that matters. The list can go on and on but all in all a person always feel guilty when they do something bad is in our nature. But i think a person feel really bad when they know they shouldn't have done something but still do it. Are when they do something bad to the person that matters, to a person they care deeply for. They will feel really bad because they know that person but still do it and the feeling they get will feel like a bad taste in their mouth.
